The Last Ride!

SZ FEA FUNERAL 02

Ty Cokin, owner of the Last Ride Motorcycle Hearse Co., and members of the Patriot Guard Riders led the procession Friday, September 4, 2009, of Thomas Wooten of Sprindale. Wooten’s brother, Bobby Wooten said Thomas was a motorcycle rider and the hearse seemed to be a fitting tribute to his brother. Cokin said he and four friends originally built the hearse from hand for a another friend with a terminal illness. He said since the vehicle’s completion 14 months ago it has participated in 31 services. The trailer is styled after the horse-drawn carriages used in the old west. The carriage can transport standard and oversized caskets, as well as urns for cremation ceremonies. A 2002 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail trike is used to pull the carriage from the funeral home to the cemetery or any other final resting place chosen by the client.
