Last day of court in a historic courtroom

Tuesday was Circuit Judge Mary Ann Gunn’s last day in her courtroom in the historic Washington County Courthouse in Fayetteville. Moments after the last business was completed, the remaining furniture, office supplies and even the Great Seal of the State of Arkansas got packed up and moved out. Gunn even found her old judge’s wheel, a device to randomly select jurors. Gunn will conduct business in the county’s new court annex on the corner of Spring St. and College Ave. until renovations are complete in the historic courthouse.
