On Saturday November 15 protesters gathered at the Student Union on the campus of the University of Arkansas to show their opposition to California’s Proposition 8 – a Constitutional Ammendment to prohibit same-sex marriage in California. Fayetteville and Little Rock were the two Arkansas cities asked to participate in the nationwide march in which individuals descended upon the City Halls, State Capitol’s, and Nations Capitol to have their voices heard. The Fayetteville protesters marched east on Dickson Street and north on Block Avenue. It was one of the coldest days of the season, but that didn’t stop the approximately 75 people who showed up to give their support.
