IT’S A BUG ON A TREE

I was assigned to shoot a bridge on a walking trail in Bentonville. Fortunately there was a bench to sit on nearby. And sit I did. And sit. And sit. In fact, I waited so long for someone to come by, this bug wiggled its’ way by and climbed a tree behind me. I am not an entomologist so I don’t know what kind of bug it is. I’m not a dendrologist so I don’t know what kind of tree it is crawling along. If you know what kind of bug or tree is in the picture, good for you. I’m the kind of person who looks at a photo like this and thinks, “Cool shot of a weird bug,” and goes on with my life. I hope you do the same. I will, however, get at least one email identifying the bug and wondering just how dumb I could be for not knowing what it is. I wouldn’t be surprised if the tree folks weigh in also. And if I get more than one email from the bug people, they won’t agree on what kind of bug it is. Bet on it. I’m just thankful there’s not a bird or a butterfly in the photo.

Dude. That is a Yellow-haired creepy crawly. Duh. How stupid can you be? The tree is a Tall-always-green-until-it’s-fall Tree. Again…duh.

Before anyone says something about calling Josh stupid, I earned that priviledge as his sister for the last 40 years.

Nice shot though. You should print it for me because I have the perfect place to hang it. Seriously.
